About the Author

The Reverend Peter Rose served as the Honorary Chaplain to the Parliamentary Christian Fellowship from May 2005 until December 2016. A Vocational Deacon, Peter has been licensed by the Anglican Bishop of Canberra and Goulburn, by the Anglican Bishop to the Defence Force as Honorary Chaplain in the Defence Force and by the Bishop of Bathurst as Chaplain to All Saints’ Cathedral Bathurst.

Peter’s work experience includes almost 30 years in the Australian Army as an Engineer and then on the General Staff. Subsequently he supported a post-graduate Research Centre of the University of New South Wales then led World Vision’s ministry in the ACT. After completing theological studies then a Master Degree in Creative Writing he was ordained in 2004.

Peter’s Blog aims to encourage Christians and others, especially those who pray for Members and Senators of the Parliament of Australia, to know God through his Son Jesus and to walk consistently in his ways.

Above all, this Blog aspires to bring glory to God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Scripture passages have been chosen from those in the Revised Common Lectionary for each Sunday through the year.
